Christmas song on the record Coldplay are re-releasing their modern holiday classic "Christmas Lights" on vinyl in 2021. It is a black recycled 7ʺ single. On the B-side is Coldplayʼs version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", which was recorded for a live broadcast with Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 1 in late 2000. The album "Christmas Lights" was originally released as a digital download on 1 December 2010. However, Chris Martin wrote the song in December 2008 and performed a snippet of it on an American news show the morning after he began writing it. The Christmas song reached number 13 in the UK singles chart, number 25 in the US and number 26 in Germany. Hungary and Italy were the best-placed countries at number one and number two respectively. Coldplay will release a physical version of "Christmas Lights" in late 2020 to mark the tenth anniversary of its release. At the time, it was released as a limited edition blue 7ʺ single, but quickly sold out.
