Amon Amarth release a new documentary and accompanying live album "The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm" - a retrospective documentary with lots of concert and behind the scenes footage and extensive interviews with the band. The film tells the story of the Swedish quintet, both from their own perspective and through the eyes of their fans, whose support the band has always been able to rely on throughout their career. It's an exciting compilation that pays tribute to their loyal fans while offering all newcomers a detailed and engaging introduction to the inspiring story of these musicians. In addition to the documentary "The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm", it includes live recordings (audio and video) of two different concert sets from the 2017 Summer Breeze festival in Dinkelsbühl, showing the band at their best. Having already performed at the festival several times and falling in love with its familiar atmosphere, Amon Amarth immediately jumped at the chance to perform twice in one year: first at an unannounced small gig where they played mainly older material, and then as headliners on the main stage with a full production (including a giant sea serpent and lots of fire). However, choosing songs from their extensive repertoire for each setlist was not easy for the musicians. "The plan for the first night was to put together a set that would be fun for the fans, where they could dive into our back catalogue, but at the same time be interesting throughout," explains guitarist Olavi Mikkonen. "When putting both shows together, we first realized that we had an incredible amount of songs to choose from."
