Aerosmith release an album with 14 new songs for the first time in 11 years. "Music from another Dimension" is the band's fifteenth studio album and was produced by Jack Douglas, who has worked on "Toys in the Attic", "Rocks" and "Honkin' On Bobo". Joe Perry told Billboard magazine that the songs on the new record were written by the band together, unlike albums from the last 20 years. The first single "Legendary Child" was first performed live in May on the TV show "American Idol." The single is a new version of a song that was actually intended for the 1991 album "Get A Grip." The last album with original material was 2001's "Just Push Play", followed three years later by the blues album "Honkin' On Bobo" with all foreign material. Review ,,But don't worry, instead of intoning novel music from another dimension, Aerosmith have stayed true to themselves and play basically nothing but the music you're used to - and expect! Heavy metal anthems like the first single "What Could Have Been Love," mid-tempo ballads like the duet with Carrie Underwood "Can't Stop Lovin' You," punk hits like "Lover Alot," or rock 'n' roll hits like "Freedom Fighter," which features none other than Johnny Depp on backing vocals."
