Before Status Quo fall silent Last autumn and winter, Status Quo embarked on a major European tour. The name of the tour: "The Last Night Of The Electrics", because, according to their own information, these were the last shows where the band used electric guitars. As part of this tour, the British rock legends made a stop in London, among other places, on December 11 at the O2 Arena. Footage of this incredible gig is now available in picture and sound form on the album "The Last Night Of The Electrics". A total of 20 songs made it onto the new live album or concert film, including many classic tracks and hits such as "In the Army Now", "Down Down" and "Rocking All Over The World". "The Last Night Of The Electrics" is available as a double-CD, 3-LP set, DVD and Blu-ray. Of special note is the ear book with double CD, DVD and Blu-ray. Before everything settles down, Status Quo prove one last time that they are one of the most electric bands in rock'n'roll. "The Last Night Of The Electrics" is impressive proof of that. Along with "The Last Night Of The Electrics", Status Quo release an emotional and haunting live set, recorded during their tour of the same name at London's O2 Arena. Francis Rossi explains, "This release captures Quo in incredible form at a gig that will stay with me for a long time. It was difficult to transition to the stage, but when the time came, we knew what we had to do - and we did it. It was by no means an everyday affair and never will be, but the tense atmosphere, the energy of the music, the band and the audience was palpable for us." The 2016 winter tour, originally planned as a wrap-up, took a surprising turn when Rick Parfitt was unable to attend due to the health issues that tragically ended his life late last year. Thanks to Rick's wishes and the fans' desire to continue making music, the band took another step forward and put on a special show for the loyal audience at the O2 Arena.
